Genealogical Data - Descendants search view

Genealogical Data Analysis v0.50 is now available

We are delighted to provide you with the latest version of our Genealogical Data Analysis application.

Genealogical Data Analysis now includes ascendant research

Genealogical Data Analysis gives you the power to perform multiple searches for potential ancestors in your genealogy in just a few seconds

Searches are performed for each person known in the analysis.

You can select the searches that seem most relevant to you.

  • Search for individuals who could be the person’s father. To do this, Genealogical Data Analysis compares the names of individuals and suggests those born during a period whose length can be modified. For example, if you enter 20 years, Genealogical Data Analysis will suggest individuals born between 40 and 20 years before the person’s date of birth. If the individual’s name and period of birth match, the individual is proposed.
  • Search for individuals who could be the person’s father and whose place of marriage is identical to the person’s place of birth. In addition to the above criteria, Genealogical Data Analysis compares the individual’s name, period of birth and place of birth with the individual’s place of marriage. If the individual’s name, period of birth and place match, the individual is proposed.
  • Search for individuals who could be the person’s father and whose place of marriage is close to the person’s place of birth. Genealogical Data Analysis compares the name, period of birth and coordinates of the individual’s place of birth and place of marriage. If the individual’s name and period of birth match, and if the two places are close, the individual is proposed. The maximum distance between locations can be modified. This search requires that the locations have been geolocated in your genealogy application before exporting the data in GEDCOM format.

For each individual, a detailed list of possible duplicates is displayed:

To limit the number of lines to browse, Genealogical Data Analysis can automatically hide searches (and people) for which no duplicate proposal is found.

And to make it even easier to work through your checks, you can print out the list or export it in PDF, Word or Excel format:
