How do I modify (upgrade) a license?

Each software package comes with its own license.

When several editions are offered for an application, this indicates that the application can be used with more or less functionality. That’s why you need to activate your license to benefit from the features available under the chosen license.

Upgrade your current license.

As long as your license is valid, you can modify your license and acquire the right to use an edition with more functionality (upsizing) by paying only the difference in cost between the two editions.

• The difference in cost is calculated on the basis of the current price for the desired edition, minus the cost previously paid.
• If the license has a limited duration, the cost difference is calculated pro rata temporis for the time remaining on the license.

It is not possible to choose an edition with fewer features (downsizing). Similarly, it is not possible to modify an expired license.

Modify current license

Modifications can be made on the site using the “Purchase History” view or the “License” view in “My Account”.

Purchase history” view

You can modify your licenses from this view.

1. View your purchase history.
2. Once you’ve identified a purchase, click on the corresponding “license” link.

The license details will appear.

• If the “View upgrades” link is present, click on it to view and select the edition you wish to purchase. Then click on the “Upgrade license” link to display the shopping cart and pay the required fee.
• If the message “No upgrade available” appears, this means that this license is not upgradeable , or that you already have the highest level of license.

You can also modify your licenses from this view.

• If the “View upgrades” link is present, click on it to view and select the edition you wish to purchase. Then click on the “Upgrade license” link to display the shopping cart and pay the requested cost.
• If you don’t see “Show upgrades”, this means that this license is not upgradeable , or that you already have the highest license level.

Taking into account the new license

The new license level is applied as soon as the payment has been validated. The modification is taken into account when the application is launched, without any action on your part.

If the application is launched while your license is being modified, remember to exit and relaunch the application.
